IU School of Public Health
Building Renovation (1958 Facility)
Electric Plus is supporting Indiana University in the modernization of its historic 1958 School of Public Health building –transforming a legacy academic facility into an updated, technology-ready environment designed for today’s public health research, teaching, and collaboration. This renovation requires a complete overhaul of the building’s electrical and low-voltage infrastructure to meet modern code, safety, and performance standards while honoring the structure’s original architecture.
Our scope includes full replacement of the building’s electrical systems, providing new service and distribution, updated power throughout all instructional, laboratory, office, and shared spaces, and an energy-efficient lighting package paired with contemporary lighting control technology.
Electric Plus is also delivering all-new low-voltage systems, including telecommunications cabling and network infrastructure, enabling the connectivity required for modern instruction, data-driven health programs, and faculty research. These upgrades ensure the building can support digital learning, hybrid environments, advanced equipment, and secure communications across the facility.
By revitalizing a cornerstone facility within IU’s academic landscape, the Electric Plus team is helping the School of Public Health continue its mission of education, research, and community impact—powered by a reliable, future-focused electrical foundation.
