Purdue Academic Success Building

Electric Plus is supporting Purdue University’s vision for a next-generation academic and residential hub through the construction of the new Academic Success Building—a combined learning center and 15-story student housing facility designed to enhance campus life, academic opportunity, and student support.

This state-of-the-art building features academic spaces on floors 1–5 and student dormitories on floors 6–15, requiring a wide range of highly coordinated electrical, safety, and technology systems. Electric Plus is providing all temporary power and lighting necessary during construction, followed by full service and power distribution throughout the tower. This includes emergency power systems that support campus resilience, as well as complete lighting and advanced lighting control systems tailored to classrooms, study zones, lounges, and residential floors.

To meet Purdue’s high standards for safety and connectivity, our team is installing an extensive fire alarm system, telecommunication cabling and networks, access control cabling and systems, building security components, and the infrastructure required for modern audiovisual technology in instructional spaces.

Additional scopes include exterior site lighting for campus walkways and outdoor areas, equipment connections for mechanical and building systems, and a full lightning protection system that safeguards the structure and its occupants.

The Academic Success Building will serve as a central piece of Purdue’s student experience strategy, and Electric Plus is proud to deliver the electrical and technology backbone that will power learning, living, and community for years to come.
